New Center Baptist Church will have its Independence Day Praise Celebration and Fundraiser Sat., June 28. Swamp John’s will serve dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The Fellowship Quartet and the Living Light Band will be performing. There will be a variety of events for children and adults. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs. A great fireworks display will end the event. All proceeds will support the church’s mission trip to Guatemala in September, where the church will build a house and minister to children in the area.

20 Year Anniversary and Homecoming at Faith Chapel Praise Center on Sun., June 29, starting at 10:30 a.m.. The Masters Touch Quartet will be singing and others also. The 115th annual Hartselle Camp Meeting will continue at the city’s historic tabernacle grounds through June 27. Daytime programming for children includes Bible, crafts and games for grades 1-5. Two daily worship services are held at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Vacation Bible school for Serenity Baptist Church, 1062 Perkinswood Road, Hartselle, will have a VBS Kickoff Fri., June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. and VBS will be Sat. June 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages 4 years and up. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Hartselle First Assembly of God’s Kids Krusade will be Fri., and Sat., June 27-28, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym and Sun., June 29, at 11 a.m. in the KidZone Room. The regular morning Worship is in the gym at 11 a.m.

Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church invites everyone to their VBS  block party on Sat., June 28,  from  11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come for free family, fun, food and fellowship. Pine Street Independent Baptist Church in Falkville is sponsoring a Backpack Bonanza spaghetti supper Fri., June 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. to raise money to purchase school supplies for local children. The cost is $6 per plate.

Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church in Hartselle invites special needs children and their families, including siblings, to a party at the Special Needs Accessible Playground and Splash Pad in Hartselle Sat., June 28, from 9-11 a.m. Children should wear their bathing suits and be ready for fun, with free snacks, drinks, music, bubbles and more!
