Two arrested following raid in Hartselle
Two men have been arrested following a search at a home on Lockhart Road Wednesday.
Charles Ray Key, 39, and Clifton Leroy Goodwin, 53, were both charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance 1st degree – methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine and for the unlawful possession of felony drug paraphernalia.
The bonds for both suspects totaled $507,500 (unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance 1st degree – $500,000, trafficking methamphetamine –$5,000 and unlawful possession of felony drug paraphernalia – $2,500).
According to a press release, the Morgan County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence located at 72 Lockhart Road in Hartselle after receiving information that possible drug activity was occurring at the residence.
Agents learned that both suspects had made frequent purchases of pseudoephedrine and had been advised that they were also purchasing pseudoephedrine from other individuals. A one-pot methamphetamine laboratory and HCL gas generator were discovered during the search, along with one ounce of liquid methamphetamine, equipment and chemicals associated in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine.
