Richard H. Hilliar

A memorial service for Richard H. Hilliar, 76, of Hartselle will be Sat., July 12, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Wendy Holmes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Hilliar died Thur., July 10, 2014, at his residence. He was born May 11, 1938, to Raymond Harvey Hilliar and Doris Marie Jones Hilliar. Mr. Hilliar was formerly employed by Wyle Laboratories as a Senior Project Design Engineer (Electrical and Accoustical) and retired after 31 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Knight Hilliar of Hartselle; three sons, Jeff Hilliar, Jon Hilliar and Jason Hilliar (Andrea), all of Hartselle; three daughters, Rhonda Hilliar Pickert (John) of Cleveland, Tenn., Shanda Hilliar Vandiver (Jerry) of Cullman and Tonja Leigh Hilliar, of Hartselle; a brother, Charles Hilliar of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Joyce Hilliar Gierahn of Tuscon, Az. and Mary Hilliar Scheidler of Howell, Mi.; step-mother, Leona Hilliar of Hartselle; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family would like to thank Linda and Christy for their devoted service.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to AlaCare Hospice of North Alabama or to First Presbyterian Church of Hartselle.
