Ken Harper

A memorial service for Ken Harper, 75, of Hartselle was Sat., July 19, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Harper died Mon., June 30, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born April 8, 1939, in New York to George Baines Harper and Tilda Cassidy Harper. He was formerly employed by NTN Bower Company and Copeland Corporation as an electrical engineer. He loved boating, stockcar racing and was an avid Alabama fan. He loved his faithful pet dog, “Bear.” He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Harper of Hartselle; three sons, Mike Harper and Joe Harper, both of Falkville, and James Harper of Hartselle; a daughter, Toni Harper Page of Tucker, Ga.; a sister, Mae Von Pless of Cleveland, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Special Olympics (Morgan County Chapter).
