Burline “Boe’ Riddle Maner

A graveside service for Burline ‘Boe’ Riddle Maner, 87, of Hartselle, will be Wed. (today), Aug. 13, at 12:30 p.m. in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Randy Maner officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wed., Aug. 13, from 10 to 12 noon at the funeral home.

Mrs. Maner died Sun., Aug. 10, 2014, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born April 21, 1927, in Albany/Decatur in Morgan County to William Burley Riddle and Enola Sandlin Riddle.

 She was married to Ralph Wilson Maner for 53 years until his death in 1999. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was known to her grandchildren as ‘Granny’ and was a wonderful cook and her Red velvet cake and chicken and dressing were among her family’s favorite dishes. She was a dedicated licensed practical nurse for many years. It was a career that she was well suited for and one that she loved. She was a Christian and loved to read and study the Bible. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, JW Riddle; and sisters, Sarah Louise Riddle Bailey and Billie Jean Riddle Hampton.

She is survived by a son, Randy G. Maner (Konnye) of Hartselle; a daughter, Rhonda Maner Owens (Jereld) of Hartselle; grandchildren, Brad Maner (Kim), John Maner and Cynthia Maner Livingston (Shane), all of Hartselle and Scott Owens of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Austin Maner, Chase Maner, Hayden Maner, Will Livingston, Jessica Livingston and Kate Livingston.

Pallbearers will be Brad Maner, Scott Owens, John Maner, Austin Maner, Jonathan Hampton and Shane Livingston.

The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Ghandi, nurses and staff of Summerford Nursing Home, West Haven Hall, for all the love, compassion, hospitality and dedication that you gave to our mother and our family.

 Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
