Two from Hartselle arrested for possession
Two Hartselle people were arrested Wed., Aug. 13 for possession of Heroin and prescription drugs in the Decatur city limits, according to a Decatur police report.
Decatur police officers conducted a traffic stop regarding turning without a signal at the corner of Beltline Road and Sixth Ave. SE. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jason Brantley Lorenza, 27, and the passenger was identified as Ashely Dawn Ledlow, 31, both of Ausley Bend Road in Hartselle.
Officers discovered Lorenza’s license was revoked. Upon further investigation, officers found a quantity of Heroin and prescription medication without a valid prescription in Lorenza’s possession. Ledlow also possessed prescription medication without a valid prescription.
Lorenza and Ledlow were placed under arrest and transported to the Decatur City Police Department. Lorenza was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and driving with a revoked license. He is being held on a $6,500 bond. Ledlow was charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence, and she is being held on a $3,000 bond.
