Eleven students from Morgan County placed at the Alabama 4-H State Competitive Event in Columbiana, Ala. Wed., Aug. 6 with 135 participants statewide.

The following students placed in their competitions: Kiara Ward- second place in chicken que, Ivey Jordan- first place in extreme birdhouse, Khi Mause and Garrett Mason- honorable mention in freestyle demonstration, Drew Cooper- first place in freestyle demonstration, Kurtis Brown- honorable mention in lawn tractor, Alaina Wiley- second place in informative Speak Up Alabama, Alexis Snow- honorable mention in persuasive Speak Up Alabama, Sierra Goodwin- third place in The World I See, Shelby Goodwin- honorable mention in The World I See and Gracie Anderton- honorable mention in The World I Imagine.
