Funeral for James “Steve” Stevens, 91, of Danville was Thur., Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Forman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Stevens died Mon., Aug. 18, 2014, at his residence. He was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Morgan County to James B. Stevens Sr. and Ervie Ann Puckett. He was a Baptist in faith and attended the CC Camp. He was a former employee of Wolverine Tube, working in the production of copper and aluminum for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ima L. Long Stevens of Danville; a son, Jerry Stevens of Danville; four daughters, Joyce Atchison and Leshia Lovelace, both of Decatur and Linda Forman and Pat Thrasher, both of Hartselle; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joel Sapp, Marty Forman, Danny Forman, Jason Tomlinson, Brenton Griffith and Beau Lovelace.
