Gloria Clemons Montgomery

Funeral for Gloria Clemons Montgomery, 86, of Hartselle was Wed., Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Alan Queen officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Montgomery died Sun., Aug. 24, 2014, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 5, 1927, in Morgan County to Albert A. Clemons and Eunice Jones Clemons. She was a housewife and mother, along with her other past jobs as an administrative assistant for Hartselle Medical Center and for Dr. Charles Prickett and a substitute teacher for a period of time for the Hartselle City School System. Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John W. Montgomery of Hartselle; a son, David Montgomery, (Linda) of Hartselle; a daughter, Jean Montgomery Rausch, (Dave) of Hartselle; a brother, Billy Gene Clemons, (Billie Jo) of Hartselle; four grandchildren, Chris Montgomery of Madison, Jennifer Blankenship, (Joe) and Michael McKelvey, (Callie), both of Hartselle and Matt Montgomery, (Melisa) of Auburn; eight great-grandchildren, Christin and Sean Montgomery, Lauren Blankenship, Camryn and Colton McKelvey, Ava Montgomery and Daniel and Kevin Blankenship.

Pallbearers will be Chris Montgomery, Matt Montgomery, Mike McKelvey, Joe Blankenship, Greg Clemons and Dr. Tim Bachmann.
