An 18-wheeler hauling sod overturned in the 4800 block of Highway 67 in Somerville Fri., Aug. 29.

There were no injuries sustained by either the male driver or female passenger in the wreck.

Driver Jason Harris, co-owner of Statewide Landscaping in Joppa, was hauling a load of sod to Decatur when the accident occurred. He was traveling north when a vehicle stopped abruptly in front of him. He swerved to miss the vehicle, veering right off the shoulder of the road into a ditch. The truck overturned onto its right side off the road.

The Florette Volunteer Fire Department responded.
