Downey, Gillott exchange vows

Sara Caitlin Downey and Garrett Keith Gillott were married September 6, 2014, at 6 p.m. at Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. Tom Campbell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Eddie and Sandra Downey of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Sammie Rae Sweeney of Hodges and Vincent Keith Gillott of Hartselle. He is the grandson of Kenneth and Shirley Standridge of Danville and Eloise Mason of Hartselle and the late Alfred Gillott of Hartselle.

Maid of honor was Morgen Jensen. Bridesmaids were Erin Burrell, Jamie Gillott, sister of the groom, Jessica Haddock and Kristy Sharp.

Best man was Cody Taylor. Groomsmen were Aaron Nichols, Justin Parker, Steven Hunt and T.J. Braswell.

Flower girl was Naomie Watkins, niece of the groom.

A reception followed in the fellowship hall.

The couple is now residing in the Rocky Ford community.
