Joe Doyle Anders

A graveside service for Joe Doyle Anders, 72, of Hartselle was Sat., Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. at Herring Cemetery with Josh Sparkman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Anders died Wed., Sept. 17, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1941, in Morgan County to Joseph and Thelma Lee Anders. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also a jeweler and a policeman for the City of Decatur for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Anders; two sons, Rusty Anders of Hartselle and Christopher Anders of Corner; a daughter, Patti Patterson of  Arab; a sister, Martha Pratt of Decatur; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Rusty Anders, Chris Anders, Jeff Patterson, Craig Latham, Andrew Pratt and Frank Pratt.
