Funeral for Lillie Tipton, 80, of New Braunfels, Texas, will be Tues., Oct. 7, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chuck Oden officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tues., Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tipton died Thur., Oct. 2, 2014, at Warm Springs Specialty Hospital in Texas. She was born Dec. 16, 1933, in North Carolina to Carl Billy Rippy and Mildred Eugenia Hodge Rippy. She formerly worked as a factory worker for the Cotton Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Therman B. Tipton; her parents; a daughter, Jeannette Tipton; a brother, Billy Carl Rippy; and a sister, Barbara Head.

She is survived by son, Therman A. Tipton of Missouri; three daughters, Nanette Luna of Texas, Sybil Whitehead of North Carolina and Rebecca Stewart of Hartselle; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
