Falkville restaurant recognized for “Fiery Four”
One of the best four ribeye steaks in Alabama can be found Falkville.
Momma’s Roadhouse in Falkville has received the distinction of “Fiery Four” during the Alabama’s Best Steak sponsored by the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association.
Representatives from the Morgan County Cattlemen’s Association and Jack Batts from the northwest district of the state association presented owners Jeff and Tammy Robison with a plaque commemorating their success.
The Robisons said they were overwhelmed with the support that they received during the voting earlier this year.
“We have very faithful customers who have supported us,” Jeff said. “It’s really flattering to know that we were even nominated. We’re shocked that we made it into the Fiery Four.”
They said their customers saw information posted on Facebook about the contest and logged on to the state cattlemen’s association website to vote.
Morgan County Cattlemen’s Association president Bob Dotson said the voting period has ended with Momma’s Roadhouse winning the top steak in North Alabama. They are now competing against Wallace’s Restaurant in Centreville, Diamond Jim’s and Mrs. Donna’s in Livingston and Conestoga Steakhouse in Dothan for the top prize.
“Independent judges will now secretly visit each restaurant to determine who wins Alabama’s top steak,” Dotson said. “It’s a great honor to have the best steak right here in Morgan County.”
