Police investigate auto break-ins
Several owners of unlocked automobiles in Hartselle took a hit from thieves Sunday night or early Monday morning.
“We’ve received five reports of auto burglary this morning and could be getting more,” said Hartselle Police investigator Tania Burgess. “A camera and handgun are among the items reported missing.”
The burglaries occurred in the Tanner Heights and Hickory Heights neighborhoods.
Burgess said all of the vehicles that were ransacked were unlocked.
Police are investigating the burglaries.
