A graveside service for Jeanette Blackwood, 84, of Hartselle was Thur., Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Wendell Callahan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Blackwood died Tues., Oct. 21, 2014, at NHC Healthcare. She was born April 7, 1930, in Morgan County to Allie Russell and Minnie Hampton Aldridge. She was formerly an assembly worker for GTE Communication. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Blackwood; a son, Lamar Johnson; and her parents.

She is survived by a son, Barry Johnson (Jeanette) of Hartselle; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were family and friends.
