Church Calendar for Oct. 29

First Independent Methodist Church in Decatur will host a fall festival Oct. 29. There will be games, prizes and a cakewalk for all ages.

 

Flint Baptist Church in Decatur is having a fall festival Wed., Oct. 29 from 6-8 p.m. There will be food, games, trunk-or-treat and a hayride for all ages.

 

First Baptist Hartselle, 210 Woodland St. NW, is hosting trunk-or-treat Wed., Oct 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the west parking lot. There will be games, candy, hot dogs and fun.

 

Tunsel Road Baptist Church, 1405 Tunsel Road, Hartselle is having a fall festival, for all kids and special needs kids, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be games and prizes and food and fun.

 

Soul Harbor Missionary Baptist Church, 633 Cut-off Road in Somerville, will host a trunk-or-treat for all area kids Oct. 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

 

Bellview Baptist Church, 5539 Old Moulton Road, Decatur, is having their annual trunk-or-treat Oct. 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

 

East Highland Baptist Church will host a trunk-or-treat Fri., Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m.

 

Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church will host a fall festival Fri., Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. The event will take place in the fellowship hall with games, prizes and candy.

 

Bellview Baptist Church, 5539 Old Moulton Road in Decatur, will have its annual community fish fry Nov. 1. There will be a car and tractor show and games for kids at 2 p.m. Meal will be at 4 p.m.

 

Hartselle Camp Meeting has announced plans for a Brunswick stew sale as a means of raising money to help renovate a cabin for the caretaker and re-roof the dining hall at the Tabernacle Camp Grounds. The fundraiser will be Sat., Nov. 1, at the Hartselle Tabernacle. Pick up time for pre-orders and walk-ups is 12 noon until 3 p.m. The price of the stew is $15 per 1/2 gallon and $25 per gallon. Camp Meeting president Rob Cain said the caretaker’s cabin was demolished in September after it was deemed unfit to live in as a result of floor rot and mold. Subsequently, the board of directors opted to renovate the old prayer chapel and convert it into a residential building. He said the upgrade project is estimated to cost $20,000 while the re-roofing of the dining hall will cost $15,000. Donations may be made to Hartselle Camp Meeting, c/o camp treasurer, P.O. Box 163, Hartselle, AL 35640.

Enon Baptist Church, 3293 County Road 209 in Danville, will host a marketplace and bazaar to support missions Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendor booths will include arts and crafts, jewelry, steak sandwich sale and much more.

 

Sonrise Baptist Church, 1410 Thompson Rd. Hartselle, will be having a fall festival/ free outreach supper Sat., Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. Supper will be serve at 5:30 p.m. There will be fun activities, a hay ride, games, singing, a devotion, food and fellowship for all. Everyone is welcome.

 

Soul Harbor Missionary Baptist Church, 633 Cut-off Road in Somerville, is having a Fall Revival Nov. 9-12 with Billy Cagle as evangelist. Service time is Sun., Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. and Mon.-Wed., Nov. 10-12 at 7 p.m. For more information, call 256-778-0402.
