The Hartselle Police Department is investigating at least four vehicle break-ins at two different churches in Hartselle Wednesday night during trunk-or-treat events.

According to the Hartselle Police Department’s Facebook page, all four vehicles were secure and the suspects forced entry inside the vehicles.

In the wake of the incidents, HPD is planning to have extra patrols in place for more Halloween events scheduled for Friday night.

“Please be sure to keep all valuables such as purses, electronics and other items out of sight when you secure your vehicle,” the Facebook post states. “Also, call HPD immediately if you see anything suspicious,”
