Billy Ray Steel

Funeral for Billy Ray Steel, 65, of Danville will be Sun., Nov. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at in the Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney Ridgeway officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery (South of Danville). Visitation will be Sat., Nov. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Steel died on Wed., Oct. 29, 2014, at his residence. He was born Feb.10, 1949, in Morgan County to Charlie Joseph Steel and Thelma Lee Smith Steel. He was a life-long farmer and was retired from Monsanto/Solutia and the Lawrence County Exchange Co-op. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Ray Steel; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Terrie Cheryl Steel of Danville; a son, Jordan Joshua Treece Steel of Hartselle; a brother, Ronald Steel of Danville; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Crowe, Steve Steel, Ben Lawrence, Paul Crowe, Jackie Steel and Felton Cooper.
