Hundreds of Hartselle and Morgan County residents flooded downtown to honor local veterans and those currently serving in the military.
The fourth annual Hartselle Veterans Parade honored the large group of veterans who rode or walked during the parade. The parade also featured numerous other dignitaries from the county governments.
Dr. Mark Hendrix, who is a retired Army colonel, delivered the keynote address.
“I still believe that if it came down to protecting, fighting and standing up for what is right, this group here would still answer the call,” Hendrix said. “It might be a little tougher now, but the mindset is still there.”
Hartselle and Falkville’s marching bands both marched in the parade Saturday.
