Falkville girls drop first game
Falkville’s Lady Blue Devils were hampered by foul trouble early on, as they fell to West Morgan’s Lady Rebels, 55-32, in their season opener on the road Friday.
Bailey Anders led Falkville in scoring with nine points. Jacie Anders followed with six points, five rebounds and three steals and Autumn Eddy had three points, five rebounds and four assists.
“We came out playing hard,” said Falkville head coach Jeff Andrews, “but two of our starters got into foul trouble and we played sluggish after that.”
“We did manage to get 16 points from players off the bench,” he added.
That was a positive side of the game. One good thing that comes out of a first game is it lets you know what you need to work on.”
Jamia Gibson led West Morgan in scoring with 15 points. Krystyn Chambers scored13 points and Hannah Flack had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
