HCS needs your help

Dear Editor,

Hartselle City Schools is developing a strategic plan that will guide our school system over the course of the next five years.

One of the driving forces of this plan is community participation in a brief survey from older students, parents, grandparents and community members. Our goal is that anyone in the community who desires to add their thoughts about the future of the school district will have the opportunity to do so.

The survey asks questions about challenges our system faces to provide a quality education for all students, skills and abilities our students need to know for a successful future, how we as a community evaluate the quality of education in Hartselle, and future financial priorities for the school system.  Two additional questions encourage comments about what the system could do that would “delight” you and what advice you would give the strategic planning team as they make decisions about long term priorities and goals.

Results of the survey will help our school leaders and school board make plans for Hartselle City Schools and will be available to the public. Community participation in the survey  at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/INPUT4HCS will be invaluable input to the future direction and decisions of Hartselle City Schools.  Community members may also visit hartselletigers.org to find the survey link.   Participation is very much appreciated and valued.
