Sisters in Christ hold Thanksgiving meeting

The Sisters in Christ unit of Forrest Chapel United Methodist Women’s group met Thur., Nov. 13, for their dinner meeting at Francesca’s restaurant in Decatur.

They enjoyed the food and fellowship. Christen Hines gave the program focusing on Thanksgiving and being filled with blessings.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, we think of our blessings and indulge in our delicious meal and we become very full. As we are thankful for many things, we need to realize that we are full of blessings.

Hines gave members a list of What Makes Us Full. In our spiritual life some of these words ending in “ful” make us full: cheerful, faithful, helpful, hopeful, joyful, merciful, peaceful, powerful, prayerful, thankful, truthful and worshipful.

The December meeting will be combined, United Methodist Women and Sisters in Christ for their Christmas party. All the church ladies are invited and Sisters in Christ will give the program. The date for the meeting will be announced later.
