Too You Nique prompts ‘wow’ from its shoppers
“Wow” is a word that can best describe the reaction of a shopper the first time he or she opens the door at Too You Nique on Main Street in Hartselle.
The newcomer business, which opened last May, is owned and operated by Shawn Bennett, a successful businessman who also owns two other stores in Cullman.
A designer by trade, Bennett offers a unique collection of new, used, vintage and antique furniture and home décor and gift items in his new Hartselle location.
The floors of side-by-side store buildings are stacked high with eye-appealing merchandise displays, toys, house wares, Christmas trees, holiday decorations, home décor, bridal gifts, hand-painted furniture, Ashley sofas, antique furniture, vintage clothing and much more.
“I’ve had people step inside the door, look around and walk out without giving the store a chance,” Bennett said. “They are probably intimidated by the huge displays of merchandise. On the other hand, serious shoppers let out a “wow” and spend one to two hours in the store looking and choosing items to purchase they haven’t seen in this area.”
Bennett mentioned that the store presently has 136 ladies’ hats in stock as well as a dozen decorated themed Christmas trees and 12 racks of greeting cards.
It also offers a bridal registry, Christmas gift registry, six- month free layaway and complimentary gift wrapping.
“We have a happy store with something for everyone,” Bennett pointed out.
“We are a dealer for Blackberry house paints and offer furniture painting classes. We also have classes in floral design and offer Christmas decorating services for homes and businesses.”
Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Hours will be extended to 6 p.m. for the convenience of Christmas shoppers.
