Funeral for Jack Sandlin, 87, of Somerville was Tues., Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Penn and Bro. Ryan Childers officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Turney Cemetery in Somerville.

Mr. Sandlin died Sun., Jan. 25, 2015, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1927, in Danville to Lester Cecil Sandlin and Lola Ledale Rogers Sandlin. He was a member of Grace Point Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Lee B. Sandlin and a sister, Imogene King.

He is survived by his wife, Willodyne Mooneyham Sandlin; a son; Lance Wayne Sandlin (Teresa) of Somerville; a brother; Edward L. Sandlin (Gail) of Athens; two sisters, Joann McPherson (Jimmy) and Jane McAbee, both of Athens; twin granddaughters; Emily Northington of Atlanta, Ga. and Erin Franks of Akron, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Lily Jane Franks and Jack Aaron Franks.

Pallbearers were Fred King, Ray King, Jeffrey King, Allen Sandlin, Markham Sharp and Keith Turney.
