Lanier, Owen to wed in May

Jim and Cereta Lanier of Hartselle are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Maela Joy Lanier of Hartselle, to Nathan William Owen of Hartselle, son of James and Renee Owen of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edgar and Janice Griggs of Rogersville and Charlene Lanier of Florence and the late Wayne Lanier.

A 2011 graduate of Hartselle High School, she is attending The University of Alabama majoring in nursing.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Paul and Carolyn Headrick of Grant and James and Beverly Owen of Scottsboro.

A 2010 Hartselle High School, he received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Alabama. He has accepted a position at United Launch Alliance in Decatur.

The wedding will be May 30, 2015, at 6 p.m. at Cave Springs Baptist Church in Priceville.
