BASEBALL: Falkville 14, West Limestone 11

The Blue Devils overcame eight errors to rally against West Limestone March 9.

After falling behind 6-1 in the first inning, Falkville scored six runs of its own in the second inning to take a 7-6 lead.

West Limestone scored three runs in the bottom half of the inning and added another run in the third inning to lead 10-7.

Falkville plated four runs in top of the fifth inning, while West Limestone added another run, leaving the game tied at 11-11.

Falkville took the lead for good in the sixth inning with the final three runs of the game.

Tyler Woodall, Andy Dove, Colin Eason and Dallas Mayer added two hits each while Hunter Woodall, Ryan Bradford, Shane Pace and Taylor Steele added hits.

Tyler Woodall had a triple with three RBIs and four runs scored. Dove led the team with four RBIs. Ryan Bradford also had two RBIs on his double while Hunter Woodall, Eason and A.J. Robinson each collected RBIs.

Nic Martin relieved Robinson, the starter, and earned the win in four innings pitched. He allowed two runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Robinson allowed four earned runs on nine hits with no walks.

Taylor Steele earned the save by pitching a perfect seventh inning.
