The Hartselle Lady Tigers soccer team lost to Lee 4-3 in the final minutes of their game March 12.

Hartselle had 12 shots, nine of which were on goal.

Keeper Kaitlyn Thompson had eight saves on the night. Freshmen Masie Williams, Sawyer Swader and Sidnee Tidwell scored a goal each. Kimberly Teague connected with Swader on a corner kick, and Hannah Brown got the assist for Tidwell.

Junior Kaitlyn Patrick had three shots, senior Caroline Partlow had two shots, and sohpomore Kimberli Teague, junior Lori Milligan and freshman Carrie Hanners had one shot each.

Coach William Partlow said he saw improvement this game.

“They did well after they settled down from the shock of Lee’s speed,” Partlow said. “I was impressed with their ball movement, and I hope it continues when we start area play Tuesday. That will be the real test.”

The Lady Tigers play at Decatur Tuesday at 6 p.m., and will play Austin at home Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
