Lady Tigers edge Grissom 2-1

Hartselle’s Lady Tigers made the most of four hits as they edged Grissom 2-1 in a home game Monday.

The score was 0-0 at the end of regulation. Grissom went up 1-0 in the top of the 8th inning and Hartselle answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning to take the win.

Hope Cain pitched a strong game for Hartselle, allowing only one run on three hits while striking out 10 batters. She also had a single.

Riley Corum had a pair if singles, and Hannah Jenkins had a single to account for Hartselle’s hitting.

Natalie Foor pitched a complete game for Grissom, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out four and walking seven.

 

Huntsville 4, Hartselle 2

 

The Lady Tigers fell to Huntsville 4-2 in a second home game played Monday.

Cain, Sydnee Wiley and Corum each singled for Hartselle.

Jada  Hayes was tagged with the loss. She allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out 10 and walking two.
