Jamason Nappier, 42, of 803 Logwood Road SW in Hartselle was arrested and charged with the unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance- methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine and for the unlawful possession of felony drug paraphernalia. Circuit Judge Jennifer Howell set the suspect’s bond at $300,000.

Sheriff Ana Franklin said that Nappier had three children living in the residence. Morgan County Department of Human Resources was contacted and arrived on scene. The children were placed in the care of other family members as part of a safety plan.

Morgan County Drug Task Force agents were advised that methamphetamine was being manufactured at the residence. Agents observed on March 18 methamphetamine-making materials in plain view outside the residence and obtained a search warrant for the property.

Authorities located three one-pot methamphetamine laboratories along with chemicals and equipment to manufacture methamphetamine. Agents also located an amount of liquid methamphetamine that exceeds trafficking amounts.

Nappier was decontaminated by Hartselle Fire Department.

Additional arrests are possible in this case.
