Priceville 10,
North Jackson 6

 

Priceville’s Bulldogs defeated North Jackson 10-6 on the road Thursday to improve to 1-1 in area play.

Aaron Cartee paced the Bulldogs in hitting with a pair of doubles, a single, two RBIs and scored twice. Will Hughes had two singles, two RBIs and scored  two runs.

Sam Brandon had three RBIs, a triple and scored a run. Ian Lonnergan had an RBI single.

Jacob Vehrs singled and scored a run. Aubrey Richardson singled while Phillip Goodwin had an RBI single. Weston Hopkins scored twice, and Ramsey Rey and Landon Flaherty each scored runs.

Austin Jones was the winning pitcher. He went two and two-third innings and gave up five walks. Johndale Motes pitched three innings and allowed three runs on four hits while giving up two walks. Stone Patterson allowed two runs on two hits and walked one in one and one-third innings.

 

North Jackson 10, Priceville 0

 

Priceville’s Bulldogs fell to North Jackson 10-0 in the tiebreaker game during area play on the road March 18.

Weston Hopkins had a pair of singles, and Aaron Cartee singled for Priceville’s only other hit.

Eli Freeman took the loss, allowing six earned runs on eight hits with three walks in five innings.

 

North Jackson 9, Priceville 2

 

Priceville’s Bulldogs lost to North Jackson 9-2 in a home game March 17.

Stone Patterson paced the Bulldogs at the plate with a two-run homer.  Phillip Goodwin, Weston Hopkins, Aaron Cartee and Jacob Goodwin each had a single.

Landon Flaherty was tagged with the loss. He pitched three and two-third innings and allowed two runs on four hits while striking out three and walking two. Aubrey Richardson pitched two innings in relief, allowing one run on three hits while striking out two and walking one. P. Goodwin went two-thirds of an inning, allowing one run on two hits and walking a batter.

 

West Point 7, Priceville 6

 

Priceville’s Bulldogs fell to West Point 7-6 in an 11-inning game played at home Saturday.

Ramsey Rey paced the Bulldogs in hitting with two doubles, two singles, four RBIs and scored a run. Ian Lonnergan had a two-RBI single, Aaron Cartee doubled and scored two runs, Aubrey Richardson had an RBI single, Weston Hopkins singled, scored a run and had a stolen base and Phillip Goodwin singled.

Richard pitched four innings and was tagged with the loss. He allowed one run on two hits while striking out one and walking two. Landon Flaherty pitched three and two-third innings, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out two. Will Hughes allowed one run on two hits while striking out three, and  Johndale Motes pitched one and one-third innings, allowing one run on one hit with one strikeout.

 

Priceville 15, Albertville 3

 

Priceville’s Bulldogs scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to defeat Albertville 15-3 in a five-inning game at home Saturday.

Philip Goodwin went the distance and was credited with the win. He gave up three runs on four hits while striking out five and walking one.

Goodwin also had two doubles, a single, an RBI, scored two runs and had a stolen base. Ramsey Rey had a triple, four RBIs and scored a run, Will Hughes had a double, a single, one RBI and scored twice, Jacob Vehrs had a double, a single, an RBI and scored a run, Stone Patterson had a pair of singles, an RBI and scored twice, Aaron Cartee had a double, Weston Hopkins singled, had an RBI and scored twice, Jacob Goodwin had an RBI single and Landon Flaherty and Eli Freeman each scored a run.
