County to observe clean-up April 20-25

Morgan County commissioners and Adopt-A-Mile volunteers will sponsor their annual Spring Clean-Up beginning Mon., April 20, and continuing through Sat., April 25.

During these days, large trash receptacles will be available at the county’s four district shops to accept trash, discarded household appliances and other unwanted items from Morgan County residents.

Unwanted items may also be taken to the Morgan County Landfill at Trinity for disposal at no charge with proof of residency. Landfill hours are 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

All four district shops will be open Sat., Apr. 25, from 7 to 11 a.m. to accept unwanted items and offer assistance with their unloading.

A listing of the district shops, their location and hours of operation follows:

District 1 – Commissioner Jeff Clark , 256-353-8783, located at 2626 Central Parkway below the railroad overpass on the Beltline,  Saturday only from 7 to 11 a.m. (due to the close proximity of the landfill and limited space available).
