HHS attends FBLA state conference

Several Hartselle High School students attended the 2014-2015 Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference April 16-17 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center.

During the conference, Colton Bullard was elected as vice president for District 1, making him one of five students to be selected for the Alabama State Officer Leadership team. Bullard will represent his district at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Ill., June 23 through July 2.

HHS also earned the Blueprint for Success award at the conference. Teams earn the award by completing certain required and optional tasks, including raising money for the March of Dimes, attending the Fall Joint Leadership Conference, increasing chapter membership and recruiting professional members for FBLA.

Other HHS students in attendance were Mary Filiatrault, Haley Hickman, Marisa Holyoak and Lyndsey Waddell.
