HFA to offer Mega Sports Camp
Hartselle First Assembly is sponsoring their first ever free speed and agility camp Sat., June 27.
Hartselle High School football defensive line coach Brad Bray will lead the training. Other trainers will include Dave Jacobs with C360, Carmen Torres representing Bender’s Gym and Parisi and representatives from Hartselle Gymnastics for cheerleading.
HFA wanted to provide a connection with the community that would offer quality programs for area children.
The camp will emphasize speed and agility training that can be utilized in all sports requiring athletic ability. These skills be able to help athletes of all sports gain crucial skills. Cheerleading instruction will also be offered.
Many of these skills are the same ones used by HHS football players during summer workouts. All skills can be utilized at home for continued practice.
All children ages 5-12 are invited. Pastor Jess White and the trainers and staff invite all of the area’s young athletes to participate in the camp.
The camp will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants will meet at HFA Church, 2222 Highway 31 N, and be bused to the practice location at Hartselle High School. Lunch will be provided.
Participants can register online or be a parent or legal guardian at 9 a.m. Saturday before the camp begins. Registration forms can be found at hfachurch.tv, the Hartselle Civic Center, Hartselle Athletics, Hartselle Bender’s Gym and the church office.
The first 200 kids registered will receive a free Mega Sports Camp T-shirt and a certificate of completion.
