Sister Schubert, Betty Sims hold book signing at Zoey’s
Zoey’s in downtown Hartselle hosted a book signing for Sister Schubert and Betty Sims Wed., July 1 for their new cookbook “Celebrations from the Heart.”

“Celebrations from the Heart” is a cookbook for all occasions and for every celebration, according to Schubert, whose recipe began Sister Schubert’s Rolls that are sold thorughout the county.
“We have 23 different menus in this book for every celebration, whether large or small,” Schubert said. “Putting this book together was really an effort of love. We enjoyed remembering all our family traditions and recipes for this book, and I hope we can share those memories with others.”
“We hope families with gather around the table and make memories of their own,” Sims said of her fourth cookbook. “We want it to inspire family time.”
Sims is presently the owner of Scrumptious, Inc. and has been in the food industry as a caterer, restauranteur, cookbook author, cooking school owner and food advisor.
Schubert and Sims co-authored their first book together and included artwork from Schubert’s relative and renowned artist Nall.
Nall studied under Salvador Dali and provided his decorative China artwork for the book.
All proceeds from the book sales are benefitting their three favorite charities, Sister’s Foundation for Children, the Sims Family ALS Research Foundation and N.A.L.L. Art Association.
“Celebrations from the Heart” was released in January of this year. They said they had seen a wonderful reaction to the book so far with several book signing events and high praise.
