The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Thrifty Boutique in Downtown Hartselle Recently. The store is operated under Milestone Ministries.

Milestone Ministries is a 12 – 18 month drug/alcohol recovery program. The organization also operates Dixie’s Café, downtown, Milestone Bargain Center on Hwy. 31 South; and a vehicle detailing shop on College St. All proceeds from each operation goes back into the program.

The boutique carries clothes, furniture, knick-knacks, and much more in the Main St. location.

Kim Cole Upton, Executive Director of the organization, thanked the community for their support and enabling Milestone to continue helping the ladies in the program. She mentioned that she had been clean 16.5 years and wanted to be able help others reach the same kind of recovery.

Members of the Chamber, Mayor Don Hall, Chamber Ambassadors and other well-wishers were on hand to welcome the new business.
