Hartselle Athletic Club Zumba instructor Rosie Hartley is partnering with Kroger to host a Zumba party to raise money for school supplies at the Hartselle High School auxilary gym Thur., July 30, from 6-8 p.m. Admission is $7, which is the cost of a box of school supplies from Kroger, which will be given to Hartselle students.

Hartselle’s New Beginnings Quilt Guild meets on the second Thursday of each month at the Farm Service Agency office on Alabama 36 west of downtown Hartselle. Hartselle Civitan Club meets the first and third Monday at 6 p.m. in Sparkman Civic Center Room 10. The club works with Civitan International to support and work with people in our community with mental and physical disabilities and support the Civitan International Research Center in Birmingham. Civitan is the only civic club with a research center. Hartselle Civitan Club was responsible for starting the Special Needs Accessible Playground located directly behind the Sparkman Civic Center.
