Falkville man arrested for burglary

A Falkville man was arrested on the evening of Tues., July 21, after he burglarized another Falkville residence.

Kevin Wayne Sandlin, 50, of 172 Robinson Creek Road, entered a home on East Pike Road without invitation. Sandlin was holding a Bowie knife and threatened to kill the male resident. The man’s wife and two children were also in the home at the time. The male victim followed Sandlin outside, challenging him to a fight while holding a machete. A Morgan County officer was patrolling the area and observed the two men. The officer was able to disarm Sandlin and the victim without incident.

Sandlin was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and burglary in the first degree. He was taken to the Morgan County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
