The annual Morgan County Farmer’s Federation meeting was at the Sparkman Civic Center Friday evening.

All members of Alfa insurance were invited to meet and listen to gospel music, enter for door prizes, eat ice cream, discuss business and listen to stories from old and young farmers who are carrying on the Morgan County Farmers tradition.

Local southern gospel group Southern Praise kicked the meeting off with a few songs. Federation member Mark Byrd was pleased with the group and the response they received during the meeting.

“I’m proud that we still have the right to come together and fellowship like this,” Byrd said. “I was glad to see all the people that came. This federation has been going for long before I was born, and I hope it will continue for long after I am gone.”
