Anderson elected ADAA president
Morgan County District Attorney Scott Anderson was recently elected as president of the Alabama District Attorneys Association at their annual summer meeting.
As president of the association, Anderson will work to achieve the mission of the organization through guiding the Executive Committee to create policies and guidelines for the State’s District Attorneys. Anderson, along with other officers and the committee, will work with Alabama Legislature to create legislation to support the work of district attorneys across Alabama.
Anderson began serving as district attorney in 2011. He has previously served in the ADAA as a member, secretary-treasurer and vice-president. Immediate ADAA past president Robert L. Broussard said that Anderson will do well as president during the 2015-2016 term.
“During his service as District Attorney, Scott Anderson has proven to be a dedicated leader and public servant both in and out of the courtroom,” Broussard said. “I am looking forward to his continued leadership as president on the executive committee.”
