Tommy Junkins

Funeral for Tommy Junkins, 70, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Hartselle, was Wed., Sept. 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Jeffery Tillman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Junkins died Sun., Aug. 30, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1945, in Mobile to Cecil Odis Junkins and Lavata Faye Yates Junkins. He retired from the State of Alabama as a registered nurse and from the U.S. Army as a major. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Merle Kritner. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Junkins of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Vann Junkins (Ashley) of Hartselle; two stepsons,Tony Clark and Brady Clark, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Michelle Baker of Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers. John Junkins of Madison, Billy Tillman of Hartselle and Paul McLamb of Gadsden; two sisters, Betty Corsini of North Carolina and Kay Junkins Clay of Gadsden; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Billy Tillman, Paul McLamb, Danny Tillman, Tony Clark, Brady Clark and Charles Lott.
