Eloise “Teetsie” Allen Maples

Funeral for Eloise “Teetsie” Allen Maples, 90, of Somerville will be Sun., Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. at Center Springs United Methodist Church with Bro. Steve Pilkington officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Center Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Sun., Sept. 27, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Maples died Thur., Sept. 24, 2015, at her residence. She was born May 15, 1925, in Morgan County to Stephenson Eli Allen and Ora Lee Breeding Allen. She was a member of Center Springs UMC and taught the Ladies Sunday school class for 50 years. She was formerly employed by GTE in Huntsville as an assembly worker and was the youngest of eleven children. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Don Wayne Eubanks; six sisters; and four brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Maples of Somerville; a daughter, Delia Weeder (Bud) of Utah; a stepson, Tony Maples (Darlene) of Warrior; a surrogate daughter, Rose Chunn of Valhermoso Springs; many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Larry Allen, Joel Gurley, Jimmy Chunn, Steve Bowen, LarFarris Hardin, Stanley Stringer and Rose Chunn.
