The Patriots Head Coach Geoff Walters said his team of guys in red, white and blue are in a rebuilding season and each week they find themselves accomplishing a newly learned task, but it’s not necessarily represented on the scoreboard.
“Last night, we played a really good football team; they have some really good prospects to play past high school,” Walters said. “We struggled with messing up some big plays. We dropped a couple of touchdown passes, we have four starters out and another guy hurt last night, so it was a tough game.”
The lone score by the Patriots was a 36-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Swafford to Aaron Borden. Paxton Cedotal added the extra point.
“We did a lot of positive things last night, but couldn’t finish some big drives and plays, if we had some better offensive output, the score would have been different,” Walters said. “We’re just going to keep working every week to get better for the next.”
The Patriots now fall to 0-7 on the season. They will host Albertville next Friday.
