Hartselle loses close one in Morgan County Tournament

Hartselle fought hard in the Morgan County tournament by defeating Brewer 25-21 and 25-14, Danville 25-15 and 25-16, and Austin 25-8 and 25-19 to advance to the championship. However, Hartselle fell in the championship match to West Morgan 25-22 and 25-21.

 

Jordan Finn had 1 kill, 6 assists, 6 aces and 41 digs

Hayden Hanserd had 15 kills, 8 blocks and 3 digs

Megan Zuck had 30 kills, 4 aces, 1 block and 20 digs

Gabrielle Bili had 2 kills, 53 assists, 4 aces and 18 digs

Kayla Key had 11 kills, 7 blocks and 6 digs

Karly Alexander had 1 dig

Bailey Powell had 36 kills, 4 blocks and 28 digs

Madelyn Cheatham had 10 kills, 5 aces, 6 blocks and 4 digs

Maggie Anderson had 39 assists and 17 digs

Lexie Smith had 5 kills, 2 blocks and 1 dig

 

Hartselle will host the area tournament Tuesday October 20th. They will play their first game at four p.m. against Decatur while Austin will take on Cullman at 5:30 p.m. The winners will advance to the championship match at seven p.m.
