The Bulldogs were sporting a new look this week, wearing gray jerseys.  Looking forward to their first playoff appearance in years. The Priceville staff opted to rest players in hopes of avoiding injuries and the results were noticeable in a loss to West Point, 49-21.

The West Point program received a gift of a playoff berth from J.O. Johnson after the Warriors were disqualified for post-season action earlier in the week.  The Warriors would begin this game showing that they have something to prove, returning the opening kick for a touchdown, taking the lead 7-0 after just seconds ticked off the clock.

The two teams would swap scores for most of the first half with West Point holding a one score lead, 20-14.

Priceville could not keep pace with the scoring plays of the Warriors during the second half, despite the hard running and 170 yards put up by Aaron Cartee, scoring two touchdowns. Kaleb Barker would connect with Tyler Wade for a 22-yard touchdown pass accounting for the Bulldogs, 21 points. West Point would win 49-21. This was Priceville’s second loss of the year and second in a row after the heart-breaking loss the week before in double overtime at DAR.

The Bulldogs captured the region championship after beating Locust Fork in Week 8.  Priceville will host a first round playoff contest against Hamilton this Fri., Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.
