Cynthia Seritha ‘Sue’ Russell

Funeral for Cynthia Seritha “Sue” Russell, 70, of Decatur will be Thur., Nov. 5, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Stevenson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thurs., Nov. 5, from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Russell died Sat., Oct. 31, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born Aug. 30, 1945, in Etowah County to Lewis Berry and Jessie Gladden Berry. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, John Russell and her parents.

She is survived by one son, David Russell of Hartselle; a daughter, Cynthia Hicks of Decatur; three brothers, Dennis Berry of Decatur, Ed Berry of Moulton and Jerry Berry of Decatur; four sisters, Betty Hudgins, Ella Berry, Edna Hayes and Darlene Dutton, all of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Chassity Russell, Quinton Russell, Dustin Russell, Denise Russell, Logan Russell, DeAnna Russell, Devin Russell and Dylan Russell; two great-grandchildren, Lauren Langford and Seraine Logan.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
