Funeral for Hal Lee Marsh, 58, of Decatur was Tues., Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rob Jackson officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Marsh died Sat., Nov. 7, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Nov.18, 1956, in Atlanta, Ga., to Joe Ben Marsh and Dorothy Nell Owen Marsh. He attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Falkville and graduated from Brewer High School in 1975. Right out of high school he worked with his father at C&C Fabrication in Huntsville. In 1984, he purchased Johnson Refrigeration in Hartselle. The name was then incorporated as Marsh Air-Conditioning Service Inc., which has remained a family business for more than 30 years. He also worked for Amoco/BP in Decatur as a chemical operator and control board operator for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Pat J. Marsh of Decatur; two sons, Joe F. Marsh (Adrianna D.) of Decatur and Zac R. Marsh; his mother, Dorothy Nell Marsh of Eva; a brother, Kenneth L. Marsh (Nancy) of Cullman; a sister, Terrie L. Marsh of Decatur; a granddaughter, Mia A. Marsh and co-workers from Department PX Operators, Thomas Holden, Rodney Rogers, Michael Tyler, Rod Doss, Matt Harville, Sheila Garmany, Jason Henderson, E.J. Jackson, Stephen Whalen, Dave Ransom, Skip Terry, Tina Chairs, Jud Copeland, Jason Jobe, Miller Terry, Brian Jones, Shane Parker, Steve Greene, Jeff Belcher, Brett Ezell, Robin McCulloch, Mike Murphree, Donald Stewart, Wiley Dunlap, John Ed Vickers and Joe Golden.
Pallbearers were Eddie Wren, Eric Cottingham, Frankie Pulice, Jeff Godsey, Jeff Grantland and Tony Pearson.
Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Holbert, Chris Cody, Ricky Ransom and Danny Dumas.
