Malcolm Sybert

Funeral for Malcolm Sybert, 73, of Hartselle was Sat., Jan. 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Legg and Bro. Wendell Callahan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Sybert died Wed., Dec. 30, 2015, at his residence. He was born March 10, 1942, in Morgan County to W.O. Sybert and Jewel Ozelle Vest Sybert. He was a machine operator for Automatic Screw Machine Products. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Dawn Walden; a brother, Ricky Sybert; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane Sybert of Hartselle; a son, Henry Horton (Stacy) of Vinemont; two daughters, Pam Rayburn (Joe) of Decatur and Melinda Morris of Murphreesboro, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Victor Juarez, Daniel Garner, Sam Horton,Vanessa Strockbine (Tom), Brittany Byrd (Jared), Keshia Johnson, (Mark) and Marride Morris; five great-grandchildren, Erick, Emma and Ethan Strockbine, Owen Johnson and Resse Byrd; and one special little girl who always made Uncle Mac smile, Cheyenne Weems; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund and Hospice of the Valley.
