Hartselle City Schools continues with the mission of honoring the past with the newly formed Hartselle Educators Hall of Fame. The purpose of this organization is to honor those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the education of students who attended Hartselle schools.

Hartselle is known nationally and statewide for being its school system. There is a long history of outstanding schools covering a time period of over one hundred and thirty years. Dedicated teachers, administrators and support personnel along with strong community and parental support have made the Hartselle City Schools the system it remains today.

The Educators Hall of Fame is asking for the help of the citizens of Hartselle and Morgan County in nominating inductees into the first year class. Nominations for a memorable educator who helped inspire you and prepare you for learning; leadership and life are sought for induction into the hall of fame.

Nominees could include a teacher who was a great role model, showed a love of teaching, caring for their students, knowledgeable of their subject manner and able to convey that to their students. This teacher could have helped you through a difficult time in your life, or helped you to make life-changing decisions. Nominees could also include principals, counselors, teacher’s aides, librarians, custodians, bus drivers or cafeteria workers.

Also educators are welcome to nominate colleagues who have made a significant difference in the lives of their students. Parents might nominate a school employee who was a strong positive influence on their children.

To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, a school board employee must be retired and worked in the Hartselle City School System for a minimum of five years.

To make a nomination, go to the system’s website, www.hartselletigers.org and fill out a nomination form. Forms can also be picked up at the central office located at 325 College St. NE.
