Funeral for Charles “Steve” Haynes, 59, of Hartselle will be Sat., Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Sam Gugliotta officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery in Lauderdale County. Visitation will be Sat., Jan. 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Haynes died Wed., Jan. 27, 2016, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham. He was born Feb. 28, 1956, in Kansas to Charles Edward Haynes and Barbara Dean Brattin Haynes. Mr. Haynes served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of the American Legion Post 72 in Decatur and a member of VFW Post 10774 in Falkville. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hartselle and was employed by United Plywood as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Joyce Belew Haynes of Hartselle; two sons, Byron Haynes of Hartselle, James Haynes (Joy) of Austin, TX; a daughter, Amanda Haynes of Decatur; mother, Barbara Haynes of Springfield, MO; a sister, Cindy Myers (Dwayne) of Brookline, MO; and one grandchild, Beverlyann McGill.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Chappell, Tyler Campbell, Dalton Anderton, Greg Doud, Kyle Doud and Steven Doud.
